Share the Joy Sunday school curriculum for grades K-6 is organized into self-contained thematic sessions and follows the seasons of the Church year. Children experience what it means to be a Christian. Share the Joy teaches the foundations of faith based on the word of God, lived in community and grounded in service to others. Each lesson engages children in the learning process and encourages them to participate in and more fully understand Sunday worship.
Share the Joy has two basic components:
- Teacher’s Edition with 20 core lessons and 7 additional lessons
- Student Packs which contain weekly lesson booklets full of exciting stories, activities and full-color illustrations to engage children in learning
Each Teacher’s Edition and Student Pack contains enough material to cover the entire school year. The program is divided into four levels with two tracks available for each. This allows flexibility for smaller congregations to group age levels and alternate tracks each year to provide new material. Larger congregations with separate classes for each grade would use a different level and track for each grade.
